World of Hyatt members can now start earning and redeeming rewards at some Bunkhouse Hotels as the company continues to integrate the boutique brand in phases.
As of Thursday, Hotel Saint Cecilia (a Category 7 hotel) and Hotel Saint Augustine (a Category 6 hotel) have been fully integrated into Hyatt’s loyalty program, the hotel group shared with TPG. On July 23, Hyatt said it plans to add three Category 5 hotels — Hotel San Jose, the Austin Motel and the Carpenter Hotel — followed Aug. 6 by Hotel San Cristobal (a Category 7 hotel) and Hotel San Fernando (a Category 4 hotel).
The Hotel Daphne, which is expected to open in Houston in the fall, will also be integrated into World of Hyatt when it does.
The full integration is being completed in phases after Hyatt acquired Standard International in late 2024 (which includes The Standard Hotels, Bunkhouse Hotels, Peri Hotels, The StandardX and The Manner). Several other properties, including The Standard, Bangkok Mahanakhon; The Standard, High Line; The Standard, Hua Hin; The Standard, Singapore; and The StandardX, Melbourne have already been added to the loyalty program.
Going forward, travelers who stay at participating Bunkhouse Hotels will receive:
- 5 base points for every eligible dollar spent
- An extra 4 bonus points per eligible dollar spent when using the World of Hyatt Credit Card (see rates and fees)
- Qualifying stays that work toward elite status and Milestone Rewards
- Perks (like late checkout and room upgrades) through award chart participation
However, not all Bunkhouse Hotels are included in the loyalty program. Hyatt said travelers should “stay tuned” for when Hotel Magdalena, Hotel Havana and the Phoenix Hotel may join the program.
Bunkhouse Hotels are trendy boutique properties or motel conversions located throughout California, Texas and Mexico.
In addition to earning and redeeming benefits, Hyatt said travelers who book at Bunkhouse Hotels will soon be able to access World of Hyatt Find experiences. The hotel group launched these exclusive experiences at The Standard properties in May, offering travelers the chance to bid on a New York City wedding at The Standard, High Line; a trip to The Standard, Ibiza for Burberry’s summer takeover; and more.
