Ongoing until Jan. 5: Busch Gardens® Christmas Town
The holidays shine brightest as Busch Gardens® Christmas Town
celebrates 15 years, on select dates from November 15 through January 5. The World’s Most Beautiful Theme Park is once again transformed with over ten million twinkling lights, one of the largest light displays in North America. Enjoy heart-warming shows like ‘Twas that Night and returning favorite, Gloria!. Christmas classics like Santa’s Workshop and the Christmas Town Express renew holiday traditions. Festive treats, holiday shopping and special photo opportunities complete this holiday tradition for friends and families.
Jan. 1: New Years Day Run
The Freedom Park New Year’s Day Run is a family-friendly event that offers a variety of races for runners of all ages and abilities. The races include a 1-mile fun run, a 5K, a 10K, a 15K, and a half marathon. All races start and finish at Freedom Park in Williamsburg. The event is part of the US Road Running Race Series.

To Paint for War – Charlton Stage – Colonial Williamsburg. Explore the warfare of the Eastern Woodlands tribes and its lasting impact on the United States. These tribes fought for various reasons, using different tactics, weapons, and military structures. The culture of war in the Eastern woodlands had a strong and direct impact on Williamsburg and the colonies of the French and British as a whole.. Jan. 24-Mar. 9: Busch Gardens® Mardi Gras
Let the good times roll at Busch Gardens® Mardi Gras, every weekend from January 24 through March 9. Celebrate with jazzy live music, classic Cajun flavors, and returning favorites like Carnaval Imaginique, an electrifying cirque show in the Globe Theatre. Enjoy vibrant entertainment throughout all nine of Busch Gardens’ villages with an exciting New Orleans-style event for the whole family. Treat your tastebuds with over forty mouth-watering bayou favorites, like the Crawfish Boil, fried oyster po’boy, handcrafted cocktails and iconic warm beignets. The Big Easy meets big thrills with world-class roller coasters, rides and kid-friendly play areas. Don’t miss this one-of-a-kind party every Friday through Sunday!
