Nov. 1-30: American Indian Heritage Month
Colonial Williamsburg celebrates American Indian Heritage Month in November! Your Colonial Williamsburg Admission Ticket opens the door to a world of possibilities. Nov. 5: Virginia Thanksgiving Festival at Berkeley Plantation
Every year on the first Sunday of November, Berkeley Plantation hosts the Virginia Thanksgiving Festival. This annual tradition dates back to 1619 when Captain John Woodlief and his crew of 35 men landed on the shores of the James River. Fun activities for the entire family include a re-enactment of the First English Thanksgiving, Chickahominy Tribal Dancers, parade with horse drawn carriages, fife and drum, musicians, colonial period games, dancing and choral groups and more.

Nov. 29-30: Foods & Feasts of Colonial Virginia
Experience the traditions of a colonial Thanksgiving during Food & Feasts of Colonial Virginia. This holiday event at Jamestown Settlement and the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown explores the foodways of 17th– and 18th-century Virginia. Learn about how food was gathered, preserved and prepared during that time and visit a recreated Powhatan Indian village along with a Continental Army encampment.
