Ramps and Rail Festival 
Elkins, West Virginia | April 26, 2025
Have you ever tried a ramp? If not, then you’re probably new to Almost Heaven, as ramps are primarily grown and enjoyed here. Enjoy the robust flavor of the spring ramp as West Virginia celebrates its arrival with the Ramps and Rail Festival. Over 20 food vendors will prepare ramp dishes (and those without ramps), and more than 30 craft vendors will sell locally designed products and live music. Explore what makes the town of Elkins “Unexpectedly Cool.”
Picklefest at Greenbrier Valley Brewing 
Lewisburg, West Virginia | April 27, 2025
If you love pickles and West Virginia, look no further than Picklefest at Greenbrier Valley Brewing. Once dubbed as “America’s Coolest Small Town,” Lewisburg is the perfect small town to enjoy local charm. There will be a “best pickle” contest, craft vendors, craft beer, live music and much more. Try some of the best pickles you’ll ever have and make memories in this special small town.
West Virginia Trail Fest 
Snowshoe, West Virginia | May 9-10
Want to burn some calories at your next spring event? The West Virginia Trail Festival is a family-oriented annual trail-running event in Snowshoe, the heart of Pocahontas County. Race distances include 100K, 60K, 30K, 5K and Kids Mile. Other weekend activities include a movie night, kids’ activities, train rides through Cass Scenic Railroad State Park, an awards ceremony and a Mother’s Day brunch.
