North Bend State Park has two campgrounds, one of which contains 26 sites specifically designed for RVs and campers with slide-outs. This park offers a multitude of recreational facilities in a beautiful rural setting, but its most popular feature may be the North Bend Rail Trail. This trail stretches 72 miles and through 13 tunnels along a former railroad.

Tawney Farm, LLC gives RV campers a unique opportunity to enjoy a relaxing stay on an operating sheep farm at Gauley River Wild & Woolly Primitive Campground. The campsites here are far enough away from each other to give guests a sense of privacy and the farm is only a short drive from Summersville Lake, New River Gorge National Park and Preserve and the Upper and Lower Gauley River. This makes it an ideal spot for those looking to take advantage of the excellent whitewater rafting opportunities available during “Gauley Season” in the months of September and October. Tawney Farm also offers whitewater enthusiasts the chance to sign up for their Preferred Boater Program. This gives those selected a discounted 40 nights of camping to enjoy Gauley Season from a prime location.

Beech Fork State Park offers 275 campsites, 99 of which are lakefront, across four campgrounds. While not relaxing with your family at your fully equipped campsite, enjoy one of the many activities provided by the 720-acre lake or miles of hiking trails within the park.

Lazy K’s Campground and Canoe Livery offers tent campers, cabin stayers or RV campers a secluded outdoor experience on the Elk River with activities such as mountain biking, boating, fishing and ATV riding, all while being conveniently located a short drive from Interstate-79 and Charleston, WV.

Chestnut Ridge Regional Park and Campground is an excellent place to set up a base camp while exploring Mountaineer Country. While the campground itself is beautiful and offers many family-friendly activities, it is located only a short drive from Cooper’s Rock State Forest, Cheat Lake and the city of Morgantown.

Located in the rugged but beautiful Pocahontas County, Watoga State Park is West Virginia’s largest and offers ample outdoor recreation opportunities both in the park and at nearby destinations. The park has two campgrounds and a total of 88 sites with electric hookups. Watoga State Park has also recently been designated as an International Dark Sky Park, providing its overnight guests with spectacular views of the clear night sky.

Ashland Resort is the largest campground within the Hatfield-McCoy Trail System. Park your RV in one of their several 30 amp, full hook up pull through sites and then hop in an ATV and explore over 1,000 miles of this renowned trail system in Southern West Virginia.
