You have many options for redeeming Chase Ultimate Rewards points. Typically, you can get the most value by transferring them to one of the program’s 11 airline or three hotel loyalty programs.
My favorite and most used Chase transfer partner is World of Hyatt. So, here’s what you need to know about transferring Chase points to Hyatt.
Chase Sapphire Reserve®: Earn 100,000 bonus points plus a $500 Chase Travel℠ promo credit after spending $5,000 on purchases in the first three months from account opening (see [termsConditions pid=”221211836″ overridetext=”rates and fees”]).
Can you transfer Chase points to Hyatt?
If you have the [applyLink pid=”221211836″ overridetext=”Sapphire Reserve”], the [applyLink pid=”22125056″ overridetext=”Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card”] (see [termsConditions pid=”22125056″ overridetext=”rates and fees”]), the [applyLink pid=”10965″ overridetext=”Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business℠”] (see [termsConditions pid=”10965″ overridetext=”rates and fees”]) or the [applyLink pid=”221211974″ overridetext=”Ink Business Preferred® Credit Card”] (see [termsConditions pid=”221211974″ overridetext=”rates and fees”]), you can transfer points from your Ultimate Rewards account to select airline and hotel loyalty programs. One of the programs you can transfer Chase points to is World of Hyatt. So yes, you can transfer Chase points to Hyatt.

Chase notes that Hyatt points should appear in your account by the next business day, but it may take up to seven business days. In practice, points I transfer from Chase to Hyatt usually appear in my Hyatt account almost immediately.

Chase to Hyatt transfer ratio
As with all the Ultimate Rewards transfer partners, the Chase to Hyatt transfer ratio is 1:1, and you must transfer points in increments of 1,000. This means that if you transfer 10,000 Ultimate Rewards points to Hyatt, you’ll end up with 10,000 Hyatt points.

A transfer bonus could theoretically boost the transfer ratio; however, we’ve yet to see a transfer bonus from Chase Ultimate Rewards to World of Hyatt and are unlikely to see one due to the high value of Hyatt points.

When should you transfer Chase points to Hyatt?
I transfer Chase points to Hyatt when I don’t have enough Hyatt points in my account to book a specific award stay and don’t want to buy Hyatt points. I always compare paid rates to award rates and only redeem Hyatt points instead of booking a paid stay when I get at least 2 cents per point in value.
There are two other considerations to keep in mind before transferring Chase points to Hyatt.
Should you redeem points for a stay through Chase Travel?
You can transfer Chase points to Hyatt and then book an award stay through World of Hyatt. But another way to redeem Ultimate Rewards points for a Hyatt stay is to book your stay through the Chase Travel℠ portal and redeem Ultimate Rewards points at checkout.

I generally avoid booking Hyatt stays through the Chase Travel portal, as these bookings usually won’t give me elite earnings and benefits from World of Hyatt (only bookings through The Edit by Chase Travel let you earn hotel points and elite benefits). However, some travelers may want to compare the points cost of booking directly with Hyatt versus booking through the Chase Travel portal.

Could you earn Hyatt points via another method?
Transferring Chase points to Hyatt isn’t the only way to earn Hyatt points. If you need to boost your Hyatt account balance quickly, you can transfer Bilt Rewards Points to Hyatt or buy Hyatt points.

And if you have more time to earn Hyatt points, you could boost your account balance via stays or spending with a World of Hyatt card. Here’s a look at the welcome offers on two such cards:
- [applyLink pid=”6230″ overridetext=”World of Hyatt Credit Card”] (see [termsConditions pid=”6230″ overridetext=”rates and fees”]): Earn 30,000 bonus points after spending $3,000 on purchases in the first three months from account opening. Plus, earn up to 30,000 more bonus points by earning 2 bonus points total per dollar spent in the first six months from account opening on purchases that normally earn 1 bonus point (on up to $15,000 spent).
- [applyLink pid=”8017″ overridetext=”World of Hyatt Business Credit Card”] (see [termsConditions pid=”8017″ overridetext=”rates and fees”]): Earn 60,000 bonus points and World of Hyatt Explorist status (through Feb. 28, 2026) after spending $7,000 on purchases within the first three months of account opening.
So, while transferring Chase points to Hyatt is a great way to accrue Hyatt points, it’s far from the only way.

How to transfer Chase points to Hyatt
Once you’ve found award availability and decided that transferring Chase points to Hyatt is your best option, here’s how to proceed.
Log in to your Chase account and choose your [applyLink pid=”22125056″ overridetext=”Sapphire Preferred”], [applyLink pid=”221211836″ overridetext=”Sapphire Reserve”], [applyLink pid=”10965″ overridetext=”Sapphire Reserve for Business”] or [applyLink pid=”221211974″ overridetext=”Ink Business Preferred”] account. I chose my Sapphire Preferred account, from which I could select “Redeem” next to my point balance.

Select “Travel” in the top navigation bar, then choose “Transfer points to partners.”

Scroll down the page that loads until you see the hotels section. Click on the tile for Hyatt, read the information on the page that loads and then click “Transfer points.”

If you’re in an account with an authorized user, you may need to select the user to whom you want to transfer points. Once you do so, enter or confirm the World of Hyatt account number associated with that user and click “Next.”

Enter the number of Chase points to transfer to Hyatt, and select “Next.”

Confirm the transfer details on the final page, and submit your transfer request.

Bottom line
Transferring Chase points to Hyatt is often a good way to get excellent value from your Ultimate Rewards points. However, keep in mind that every Chase point you transfer to Hyatt is a Chase point you can’t transfer to other Ultimate Rewards transfer partners. I recommend keeping your Ultimate Rewards points until you’re ready to book an award flight or night. Then, transfer your rewards once you find availability and determine the redemption rate is high enough to justify using your Ultimate Rewards points.
If you need more Chase points, consider taking advantage of one of the following welcome offers on Ultimate Rewards cards:
- [applyLink pid=”221211836″ overridetext=”Chase Sapphire Reserve”]: Earn 100,000 bonus points plus a $500 Chase Travel promo credit after spending $5,000 on purchases in the first three months from account opening.
- [applyLink pid=”10965″ overridetext=”Chase Sapphire Reserve for Business”]: Earn 200,000 bonus points after spending $30,000 on purchases in the first six months from account opening.
