Hue Hotel Puerto Princesa celebrates “World’s Best Island” fete
It’s no surprise that Palawan is repeatedly named the “World’s Best Island” by the prestigious Conde Nast Traveler magazine. Renowned for its incredible marine, coastal, and terrestrial biodiversity, powdery white beaches, and charming accommodations, this archipelagic province is a must-visit for every wanderlust.

To mark this new international recognition, Hue Hotel Puerto Princesa celebrated its 8th anniversary with a series of special events and launches.
Located in the bustling provincial capital, the hotel’s trendy all-day dining outlet, La-Ud, kicked off the weekend with a revamped menu that aims to elevate the city’s vibrant food scene. The new culinary selection features a wide array of gourmet seafood, meats, poultry, vegetarian dishes, and more.

Among the meticulously curated main dishes by Executive Chef Edge Limoico are savory shank, curry mee soup, smoked pork ribs, and tuna salad. These additions are designed to spice up the local food scene, especially at night, when live music occasionally sets the mood.
La-Ud also offers an extensive buffet breakfast, providing a hearty start to the day for both stay-in and walk-in guests.

A new and exciting addition is Hue’s upgraded version of the popular boodle fight, overflowing with generous servings of more than a dozen classic Filipino favorites. This feast can feed up to 10 family members or friends.
As a family and fun-oriented establishment, Hue has also opened the Brightbuds Playclub, a dedicated space for toddlers and young children to create memorable family moments. To cap off the experience, the launch of Flamingo Social introduces a pool bar that offers some of the best cocktails and spirits in town, all set in a relaxing resort vibe amid the verdant countryside.

Hue’s general manager, Alec Yatco, welcomed guests to a beach party-themed opening, leading a toast to new cocktail drinks and a fireworks display, despite the showers caused by inclement weather.
Inspired by its sister bar in Boracay, this intimate roofdeck bar offers unobstructed views of lush greenery and mountainous terrain. It is arguably the best of its kind in the city. By night, the space transforms into a lively venue with chillout and dance music, perfectly capturing the beach vibe that urbanites will enjoy.

Managed by Hospitality Innovators, Inc. (HII), a leading chain and a Tripadvisor Travelers’ Choice 2025 winner, the property features 122 well-appointed rooms that embody the vibrant lifestyle and fun character favored by guests of all ages.
The cozy boutique hotel, one of the leading tourist facilities in the city, offers a range of amenities to ensure a comfortable stay. Guests can enjoy intimate and mid-sized function rooms perfect for private social events or business meetings.
On the fourth floor, a fitness center equipped with cardio and lifting machines allows guests to stay in tip-top shape while enjoying views of the hotel’s tree-lined surroundings. For a seamless staycation experience, the hotel can also arrange package tours to popular attractions such as the
Underground River, Honday Bay, and around Puerto Princesa, through its partner provider, CML Travel and Tours.
Guests can easily access the hotel, located just 3 km from the airport along the national road, making it convenient to explore the northern and southern towns of Palawan. Robinsons Mall is just a stone’s throw away for immediate needs and important purchases.

After a day of pumping iron at the gym or touring the city, guests can indulge at Aminah Spa, where skilled therapists blend traditional Filipino healing techniques with modern treatments, offering a variety of massages, facials, and body treatments.
Additionally, visitors can purchase exquisite handwoven products crafted by local women artisans at the hotel lobby, showcasing Palawan’s rich art and culture scene.
As part of its expansion to offer the “Happiness With You” experience across the archipelago, the hotel and resort chain plans to open a villa-type property in Siargao Island in time for this year’s international surfing competition.
