What makes us unique?

I love spending Christmas in London. Few cities can compete with the UK capital when it comes to the festive season when the city transforms into a winter wonderland filled with Christmas lights, Christmas trees and all-round festive fun. But what about if you are in central London on December 25th? London is full of things to see and do but some of my favourite places to visit in the city are the more unusual ones such as Eel Pie Island.  Not many Londoners, let alone visitors, know about this private island in the middle of the River Thames but it’s undeniably one of the city’s best hidden gems.  Perched on a mudflat between Richmond and Twickenham, this small island is today home to dozens of artists’ studios and is only open to visitors twice a year. My daughter has always loved pugs so it seemed only right that I take her to the CuppaPug Cafe London.  Based in east London, this cosy cafe is a wonderful experience where you can hang out with a small herd of snorting, snuffling pugs.
