Is Iceland safe to drive yourself?

The car rental counter at Keflavík Airport is always busy. Visitors collect their keys, load up on insurance options they half-understand, and drive into a landscape that looks, from the terminal window, like it should be easy. Wide roads, no traffic, open sky. Forty minutes later, somewhere on a coastal highway, the wind picks up. Not a gentle breeze — a sideways force that pushes the car half a lane over. The weather app still says partly cloudy. The sky disagrees. And somewhere ahead, a single-lane bridge appears with no warning, and another car is already on it. This is Iceland. It is absolutely safe to drive — but it is nothing like driving anywhere else you have been. The honest answer: Yes, but… Let’s get this out of the way: Iceland is not a dangerous country to drive in. BermudAir to launch new airline linking Baltimore and Boston to the Caribbean

BermudAir, the startup airline known for its signature cocktails and nonstop flights to Bermuda, is expanding to a second Caribbean island this winter: Anguilla. The carrier will launch “AnguillAir” with a dedicated Embraer E-Jet and its own “identity and design” in December, BermudAir said June 26. AnguillAir will initially connect the island’s Clayton J. Lloyd International Airport (AXA) with two destinations already served by its sister airline: Baltimore/Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport (BWI) and Boston Logan International Airport (BOS). Here are the details of the new AnguillAir flights, according to its website: Anguilla to Baltimore: Twice weekly on Mondays and Fridays from Dec. 22, 2025, through April 6, 2026 Anguilla to Boston: Twice weekly on Wednesdays and Saturdays from Dec. 20, 2025, through April 8, 2026 Tickets for both AnguillAir routes are on sale now. Bargain hunting: When is the best time to book flights for the cheapest airfare? The new Anguilla service is “a reflection of what BermudAir was built to do: strengthen island connections, deliver extraordinary service, and create lasting economic value for Bermuda and beyond,” Adam Scott, founder and CEO of BermudAir, said in a statement. No word yet if AnguillAir will have a signature cocktail like
