If you’ve ever been that passenger asking everyone around you to allow you to disembark before them, then this news from United Airlines will likely excite you. The Chicago-based carrier announced on Wednesday a big expansion to its ConnectionSaver technology, which first debuted back in 2019. As part of the expansion, flyers will see an enhanced connection dashboard in the United mobile app that includes a slew of new features depending on how long your connection is. Perhaps the most exciting enhancement is that you’ll receive a notification if your connecting flight is being held by ConnectionSaver, which is a tool that identifies tight connections and potentially holds connecting flights if the arrival time of the next flight wouldn’t be significantly delayed by a short hold. From now until Friday, you can earn a two-month promotional Companion Pass by booking a single round-trip flight. If there’s one big hub where Delta Air Lines is really upping the ante, it’s Seattle. For years, Delta has been up against hometown carrier Alaska Airlines for dominance at Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA).
