Plan A Snowtubing Adventure At River Riders

February 28, 2024

Located just an hour away from Washington, D.C., River Riders is a family adventure resort offering activities of all kinds. From whitewater rafting and zip lining to e-bike tours and an aerial park, the options here are endless. The newest attraction added just this winter makes this spot ideal for family fun even in the winter.

Winter Family Fun

Visit River Riders during the winter months to experience the brand new snow tubing park, complete with 16 different lanes stretching nearly three football fields long, making this spot home to the longest tube park on the East Coast! For even more fun, stop by after the sun goes down for Downhill Disco, a unique light show experience featuring LED lights that change to the beat of the music.

All tubers need to be at least 42 inches tall and four years of age to zip down the hill on their own. Children between 36 and 42 inches tall may be accompanied by an adult. Sessions are bookable in hour-and-a-half time slots. A full-service restaurant and bar can also be found on-site.

Additional Activities Nearby

Turn your quick trip into an extended stay and explore more of historic Harpers Ferry. Don’t miss witnessing the beautiful Harpers Ferry National Historical Park. Situated at the confluence of the Shenandoah and Potomac rivers, this spot showcases some of the best views the Mountain State has to offer. Spend the day hiking trails, stopping by historic sites, dining on delicious local food and checking out unique shops.
