Our Gather ‘Round lecture series welcomes Winona native Frederick Beseler who will share in words and pictures, the story of Minnesotan Art Donahue.
This is the thrilling story of St. Charles farm boy Arthur Donahue, who served with and saw aerial combat flying Spitfires with Britain’s Royal Air Force during the Battle of Britain–18 months before Pearl Harbor– and later in combat in defense of Singapore. Today, Art’s name appears on the magnificent Battle of Britain Monument in London along with 11 other Americans who flew and fought in the Battle of Britain. September 5, 2024, at 7pm
