Vintage MarketSaturday, November 29 a.m. to 3 p.m.If you like restoring old furniture, shopping for vintage clothing, or filling your home with one-of-a-kind antiques, then you don’t want to miss York County’s Vintage Market! The annual event is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, November 2, at the McReynolds Athletic Complex (MAC), located at 412 Sports Way in Yorktown. The event features an exciting lineup of nearly 30 local vendors and artists who will be selling everything from crafts, repurposed items, and clothing, to toys, collectibles, and wood art.  Automotive enthusiasts and members of local car clubs, including the Classic Cruisers Car Club of Yorktown and the Historic Virginia Peninsula Region of the Antique Automobile Club of America, will have cars from the ‘30s through the ‘70s on display. These events are free and open to the public.Attendees will have the opportunity to view planets like Saturn and Venus, along with the Moon, and a possibility of spotting Mercury early in the evening. Deep sky objects such as the Andromeda Galaxy, the Ring Nebula, and the Hercules Star Cluster may also be visible. Wear sturdy shoes and clothes suitable for climbing, as attendees will need to navigate both stairs and a ladder. Dress warmly, as it can be cold and windy on the roof. Children under 14 must be accompanied by an adult. The event will be canceled if weather conditions are not suitable for night-sky viewing.
